Wonderful People,

Apologies for getting the notice out so late! Sunflower River will be having a work party this coming Sunday, February 8th, from 10 a.m. till sundown. As usual, we will provide a hearty vegetarian lunch for all who come to help out!

Projects this month include finishing the extension of the chicken yard (needle nose pliers and gloves would be very helpful if you have them), tearing apart Version One of the rabbit run area (as we will have moved the rabbits to the New and Improved rabbit run, and be getting ready to turn the Version One area into a Turkey Coop instead), and cleaning up the remainder of the “foundation” of the old barn–dust mask and shovel are the tools for that job. Clearing up that pile will involve more than a couple of dump runs—so if anybody has an open-bed pickup truck they’d be willing to add to the convoy for the day, it would be *most* sincerely appreciated!

Hope to see you Sunday!

And for those who like to plan ahead, our next work party will be Saturday, March 7th. From here, that one looks to be about setting up grape trellises around the ritual grounds, building the goat shed and accompanying fencing, and possibly some drip system installation work, depending on what’s up in the greenhouse, how the weather looks, and what we get done on our own. The April work party will be Sunday, April 5th, and its project list is as-yet-undesignated. I’m sure something will suggest itself in plenty of time. We will have the rest of the year’s dates planned out before the March work party, and i will get an email out with the full calendar.

Gratitude and Blessings,
Kat.
